All Knowledge and Wisdom Comes Direct From God

Filed under: Uncategorized — @ 12:30 am

These next set of verses are the heart and soul of this entire subject matter. All of these verses are telling us that all knowledge and all wisdom come direct from God and Jesus. The first verse will tell you that all the “treasures” of wisdom and knowledge are “hidden” in God the Father and Jesus Christ. Notice that God is comparing knowledge and wisdom with “treasures” and that this treasure is hidden within Himself.

This means that God and Jesus are the source of all Godly knowledge, and we have to first seek after the source in order to get this knowledge to be released to us. Here are some of the most profound verses in all of Scripture showing us that not only is God the source of all Godly knowledge and wisdom – but that He wants to release this knowledge to us!

  1. “… both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” (Colossians 2:2)
  2. Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! … For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.” (Romans 11:33,36)
  3. For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright …” (Proverbs 2:6)
  4. Daniel answered and said: “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are His. And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding. He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him.” (Daniel 2:20)
  5. Can you search out the deep things of God? Can you find out the limits of the Almighty? They are higher than heaven – what can you do? Deeper than Sheol – what can you know? Their measure is longer than the earth and broader than the sea.” (Job 11:7)
  6. Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’ (Jeremiah 33:3)
  7. Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.” (Matthew 13:11)
  8. “… that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe …” (Ephesians 1:17)
  9. Surely the Lord does nothing unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.” (Amos 3:7)
  10. But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets.” (Daniel 2:28)
  11. If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:31)

All of these verses are telling us that all things – including all knowledge and all wisdom comes direct from God the Father. These verses are showing us that not only is God the source of all knowledge and wisdom – but that He wants to release this knowledge to us. He wants to show and reveal great and mighty things to us. He wants to tell us deep and secret things that the average person will not have access to.

Not only will God give you His knowledge – but He will make sure to give you the understanding of that knowledge and the wisdom to be able to use it! All of this can be given to you free of charge. All you have to do is be willing to seek after it, and seek to work with this knowledge to fully understand it and how it can apply to different parts of your life.

The last verse is Jesus telling us that if we will “abide in His word” – that we will then have the ability to know the truth and that the truth will be able to make us free. In other words – if you are willing to abide in the Bible, which is His Word, and seek to understand what you are reading – then you will be fully loaded with an incredible amount of truth covering a wide variety of topics and issues in your life. And once you have a lot of truth on a lot of different areas of your life – then that truth will help set and make you free because you will no longer be bound up with wrong thinking!

However, notice that Jesus says we have to “abide” in His Word in order to be able to get these truths worked into us. Abiding means that you are willing to spend a lot of regular quality time in reading the Bible for yourself and seeking to understand and implement these truths in your everyday walk with Him.

All of the above verses are giving us an incredible revelation in that God and Jesus are only too anxious to release Their knowledge to us if we are willing to do our part by seeking after it.

Ways to get content for your Web site(s)

Filed under: Uncategorized — @ 11:08 am

When you are in the business of creating Web sites, then it becomes very important to get content from somewhere or else your site might never be picked up by the search engines and without any content it would be kind of hard to keep your visitors interested. The are numerous ways of getting some content for your site(s), i will discuss a few things you could do.

Writing all content yourself This option might be a goodone if you only have 1 or 2 Web sites, but if you have more, this option might not always be a real option. Writing takes a lot of time and dedication, and you must have a real love for the topic you are writing about. If you don’t, the reader will know and it just won’t feel right. Take some time every day to write an article or post an item on your site etc…

Seeking paid help There are a lot of services out there that can supply you with articles you can then call your own. It can be very expensive to do this, so this option won’t be for a Webmaster does not have that big budget yet. You could hire writers to write you your content, or perhaps have people post in your forum. This can get you some great content, but watch your back in this game and make sure you don;t get scammed by paying for badly written articles or forum posts that really don’t help you any further!

Private Label Content For a monthly subscription you can find a lot of companies offering private label content. This is content that is sold to a limited number of people very often and you get the rights to change anything you like. You can place your name under the article or even submit them to article directories like these! Prices range between $30 and $200 a month, but this might be a very good investment if you need a lot of content for a lot of different sites.

Public Domain Content Public Domain Content is content on which there is no copywright. You can use this content completely fre of charge and you can do a lot of things with it. Take some big movie companies like Disney … they used it, changed it and made it their own to make millions! You can have a dig deep through all this private label content and find some content useful to you and your site(s). There is even audio and video to be found, it is a real treasure.

Revenue Sharing When you want more content on your forums it might be a good idea to share your adSense like income with the people actively posting in your forum. This might inspire more and more people to start posting and things like this could get your forum going.

Nesting repeaters in .NET

Filed under: Uncategorized — @ 5:20 pm

Data repeaters in .NET are very usefull to display database
records onto screen. But usually, in a real world situation, you
don’t have enough functionality with 1
repeater.

Take for example some kind of menu structure. You want to
display a category, but every category can have 0 or more
subcategories. With 1 repeater, this cannot be done in a simple
way. In .NET, you can use nested repeaters for this.

Take the code below in the .aspx file:

… other HTML code …
<asp:Repeater Runat=”server”
ID=”Category”>
<ItemTemplate>

<a
href=”category.aspx?category=<%#
DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, “Category”) %>”><%#
DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, “Category”)
%></a><br>
</ItemTemplate>
</asp:Repeater>
… other HTML code …

Here you will get a list of categories. If you want to
add subcategories, one could try to make the code below work.

… other HTML code …
<asp:Repeater Runat=”server”
ID=”Category”>
<ItemTemplate>
<a
href=”category.aspx?category=<%#
DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, “Category”) %>”><%#
DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, “Category”)
%></a><br>
<asp:Repeater Runat=”server”
ID=”SubCategory”>
<ItemTemplate>

<a
href=”category.aspx?category=<%#
DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, “SubCategory”)
%>”><%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem,
“SubCategory”) %></a><br>
</ItemTemplate>
</asp:Repeater>
</ItemTemplate>
</asp:Repeater>

other HTML code …

To make things work, you have to change several things
though.
In your .aspx.cs file (or in the script area if
you are not using codebehind files) you will have the following
code:

… other c# code …
DataSet sqlDS = new
DataSet();

/* Get the categories */
string Query = “select
CategoryId, Category from Categories order by Category”;

SqlCommand sqlC = new SqlCommand(Query, objConn);
SqlDataAdapter sqlDA = new SqlDataAdapter();
sqlDA.SelectCommand = sqlC;

sqlDA.Fill(sqlDS, “Category”); /// Our dataset contains the
categories

/* Get the subcategories */
string Query = “select
SubCategoryId, CategoryId, SubCategory from SubCategories order
by SubCategory”;
sqlC = new SqlCommand(Query, objConn); /> sqlDA.SelectCommand = sqlC;

sqlDA.Fill(sqlDS, “SubCategory”); /// Our dataset contains the
categories

/* Add a relationship between the 2 tables
In our case,
every SubCategory has a CategoryId to pojnt out there parent /> */
ds.Relations.Add(“CategoryRelation”,
ds.Tables["Category"].Columns["CategoryId"],
ds.Tables["SubCategory"].Columns["CategoryId"]);

Category.DataBind();
… other c# code …

In your .aspx file you will have to change the DataSource
to your child repeater (SubCategory) and the syntax in which you
get the data.
The code below does so:

… other HTML code …
<%@ Import
Namespace=”System.Data” %>

<asp:Repeater Runat=”server” ID=”Category”>
<ItemTemplate>
<a
href=”category.aspx?category=<%#
DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, “Category”) %>”><%#
DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, “Category”)
%></a><br>

<asp:Repeater Runat=”server”
ID=”SubCategory” DataSource=’<%#
((DataRowView)Container.DataItem).Row.GetChildRows(“CategoryRelat
ion”)%>>
<ItemTemplate>
<a
href=”category.aspx?category=<%#
DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, “["SubCategory"]“)
%>”><%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem,
“["SubCategory"]“) %></a><br>
</ItemTemplate>
</asp:Repeater>
</ItemTemplate>

</asp:Repeater>
… other HTML code …

If you do both changes, the code should work fine.

Another interesting thing to note is how you can access a
dataitem from the parent (from within your child).
For
example, we wish the link to include the Category also, even if
it is a SubCategory.
Adjust your .aspx file to the
following:

… other HTML code …
<%@ Import
Namespace=”System.Data” %>

<asp:Repeater Runat=”server” ID=”Category”>
<ItemTemplate>
<a
href=”category.aspx?category=<%#
DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, “Category”) %>”><%#
DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, “Category”)
%></a><br>
<asp:Repeater Runat=”server”
ID=”SubCategory” DataSource=’<%#
((DataRowView)Container.DataItem).Row.GetChildRows(“CategoryRelat
ion”)%>>

<ItemTemplate>
<a
href=”category.aspx?category=<%#
DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, “["SubCategory"]“)
%>”><%#
((DataRow)Container.DataItem).GetParentRow(“CategoryRelation”)["C
ategory"] %> – <%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem,
“["SubCategory"]“) %></a><br>
</ItemTemplate>
</asp:Repeater>
</ItemTemplate>

</asp:Repeater>
… other HTML code …

This code is both easy to maintain, and performant.
The same principles count for other items bound to database
data, like the DataGrid for example.

So you want to start an internet business?

Filed under: Uncategorized — @ 6:40 pm

So you want to start an internet business?

The internet is a great place for those that want to start a business to do so with out the worries of having to rent a store front or warehouse.

For some reason many get the idea all they have to do is sign up for an associate program of some sort, submit that url to as many places as often as they can and the cash will start rolling into their pockets in no time.

Despite what many are lead to believe however, there will be investments that have to be made and their are certain steps that must be taken,for your and other’s protection.

Legal steps:

1. Check with your local agencies and find out if you need a business license. In many places,there is no charge for the inital license as your tax will be determined by your income reported.In my area, you must report every quarter stating you made X amount of dollars or even if you made none (after expenses). Many will require that you must advertise your intention to set up a business in a local newspaper under the ‘fictious business’ notification section of the ads. You do not have to incorperate in most cases.

2. Check with your tax person and find out what you may claim as deductions.

3. Check and see if you qualify for government loans for small businesses.

Internet Steps:

You will have to make up a budget at this time. Never spend more than you can afford to lose, but spend what you can afford. Any business whether on the internet or not, is a gamble. Some make it, many don’t.

Find and read as many articles as you can on every aspect of internet business, pay attention to promotional (advertising)methods. This will make or break your business very quickly. Keep your site ‘web based’, that is off your ISP (Internet Service Provider) and off your home PC.

Notify your ISP that you are starting a business and what they advise. ( Remember, if they get complaints about you,you may lose your ISP connection). Some well known ISP’s ( such as Net Zero, AOL) ,ay have special requirements and may also have the options to give you reduced advertising rates or more.

Give your new business TIME to get established. In my opinion, it will take at least two years for the average person to show enough income to show a profit after expenses, unless you have deep pockets. If you have qualified for a loan, you will be given guidelines to follow.

Find a product or service to sell. If you are not an expert in the field, take training or find a product or service you are very well versed in.

IF you do not have your own website with it’s own domain, you will not be considered as ’serious’. The next two steps may be done in either order:

1.Secure your domain ( example: Joe’s autoparts.com).This will become your URL (Universe Resource Locator). Keep it short but to the point.

Have the domain directed to your hosting companies server set up for you. If they offer it, get one that will re-direct e-mails. Get your domain for at least two to three years ( the longer the less it will cost). You will be charged for each ‘extension’ also. (example: .com, .net ). Remember, .org is for non-profits and educational sites such as your local college or the Red Cross, etc. and .gov is, well you know, do not even try to get one of those or you will find yourself in a whole lot of trouble from the start ( unless your business is going to be one ).

2.Hosting: You have to have your domain ‘hosted’ or residing at a server somewhere. This is where all the files that make up a good website are stored. Many hosting companies will also secure a domain name of your choice,for a smaller fee. DO NOT get ‘Free’ or cheap hosting. As they say, you will get what you pay for. Get the best package that the hosting company has for commercial sites that you can afford. Many of these will come with ‘basic’ options to get you started and others that you may get as you need them. (as ’secure server’ for credit card payments, etc). Do NOT use the ‘homepage’ your ISP may be providing you with. You will lose your ISP if they find your running a business from it.

3. Your domain will have to point to your ‘index or home’ page of your ‘web’. Your hosting company will have a ‘temp’ page for you to edit. Many also will have a simple editing program if you desire to do your own website work.

4. Site set up and page(s) design. If you don’t want to spend the time to learn to do so, then you will have to pay to have a site set up. Once again, many good hosting companies can do this for you also,at an additional charge, or you will have to contact a company that does such things and pay for it to be done.

Remember, the internet is all about information. Keep your main site page ( the one people will see when the type in your domain’s name) fairly clean of pictures, sounds and the like, unless the site is professionaly done for you. The programers know ways to make the pictures etc load on your visitor’s browser with out slowing down the ‘load time’. Many visitors will not ‘wait’ for a site to load for more than five to ten seconds.

5. Promotions

When you have your site set up, a good product or service to sell (or re-sale), you will now want to advertise it on the interenet AND in your local papers and yellow pages, etc. (You can do both from the internet itself).

You can pay for a company to do your promotions or you can do it yourself on the internet.

Find out exactly what the SEO companies (Search Engine Optimization) will do for you. It may be more cost effective to go this route the first year or so.

In spite of what you may have heard, you do not have to be ranked in the top ten,one hundred,or even the top 100,000 to get your site noticed. There are many companies making millions of dollars a year that have sites ranked past the ‘million’ mark in the rankings.

Many search engines will not list your associate ( or re-sale site page given to you) if your going that route. Instead,you will want to have a description of them and a ‘link’ to it (or them) on your site page. If you later on change associations, it will be easier to change the content of your main site page, and any related pages,than to start over. Remember the business is yours, the products may change or you may add more as you grow.

There are many ‘factors’ that effect how your site will be ranked and if you are not well versed in Search Engines, then let the pro’s do it for you or start getting yourself knowledgable. There are thing such as traffic volume, keywords,meta tags,how the title is worded etc to be taken into consideration. Some engines will visit your site before listing, some you will have to pay to get listed with, and some will require periodic checking to see if your listed or to stay listed. Some will list you right away,some may take months and some may not list you at all. Many will not tell you either way. If you ’spam’ a search engine you may be put on their ‘do not list’ list, and as many engines share information between one another, well guess what happens?

Do not start any e-mail campaigns untill your understand how e-mail works and how to do it without getting into trouble. Here you will want to apply ‘reverse marketing’ only at the start.

The most important factor in the whole equation will be YOU. Do not let your desires outweight your common sense.

Good Luck.

Top 10 Web Hosting Blunders and How to Avoid Them

Filed under: Uncategorized — @ 12:52 am

Consider the following web hosting blunders and do not allow yourself to make these mistakes that can have a seriously negative impact on your website.

Blunder #1 – Contact Information

Make sure your web host has contact information available to you 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. This should be in the form of phone numbers as well as e-mail addresses that correspond to the web host domain name. Make sure you are dealing with a real company that is serious about both their business and yours.

Blunder #2 – Lots of Bandwidth

If you are using a free or cheap web host then more than likely you will not have a lot of bandwidth which could cause you problems with your website. Even if you have to pay a little bit more money, it is worth it to gain additional bandwidth. Make sure you ask about this before signing up with a web host.

Blunder #3 – Generous Disk Space

Many times people find a cheap or free web host and just sign up without ever checking for the amount of disk space. A questing to ask yourself, what happens when the diskspace is filled up? Make sure that the hosts you are considering provide generous amounts of diskspace, if it is limited you might consider using a web host that is larger and offers more services.

Blunder #4 – Web Host Domain Name

Make sure the company domain name matches the web host company name before giving out your credit card information or hosting your website with them. On the Internet it is up to you to decide whether a company is legitimate or not, check out the domain and company name to find a match to be sure.

Blunder #5 – Security

Regardless of the web host you use and your website design you must ensure that you have secure websites for purchases where people will enter the banking and or credit card information. If your site does not appear to be secure, customers will leave. You want to avoid this at all costs and go to all lengths to make customers feel secure and confident buying from your site.

Blunder #6 – Plan Ahead

Make sure you have a plan for the future and an idea of your websites growth. Without this you could run into some serious problems if you outgrow your website, shopping cart, or bandwidth too quickly and do not have a plan on how to handle things. Make a plan for slow, medium ,and fast growth so you will know what to do in every situation.

Blunder #7 – Slow Server

Make sure you web page loads within 10 seconds for a 56 k modem. If not, then people will leave your site before the page ever opens. The reason for this is people are looking for instant gratification on the Internet. If you cannot provide them with the information that they want in a timely fashion, they will leave. It’s as simple as that.

Blunder #8 – Design

Make sure that whatever web host you use allows you to design your site for ultimate success. If there are any rules or regulations regarding your site design that will possibly impact your sales and the way customers perceive your site then find another host. There are plenty to choose from.

Blunder #9 – Checkout

Ensure the checkout process is clear, easy, and to the point. People want to buy their products without giving you a ton of personal information. Let them do that or simply make certain fields optional if you are trying to conduct market research.

Blunder # 10 – URL

You want your own personal URL that reflects your business and services. Do not use a free host that gives you some kind of space using their URL with some additional information at the end of the URL that directs it to you. Spend the money and get your own URL that is unique, easy to use, and says something about your company. It will be worthwhile.

Design myths

Filed under: Uncategorized — @ 11:55 pm

It is said that in designing, there are certain rules that these designers have to know. These rules were designed to be followed but not necessarily at all times. Sometimes the need arises for them to break them. But it is always best to know them first before breaking them. Knowing the rules would be useful when the time comes when you are questioned why you broke them in the first place.

Never use your font in only one document. In being a designer, it is common knowledge that they have their own fonts, many to be specific. As in other kind of printing job, using different types of fonts will make it jumbled and thus difficult to understand. The readers will get lost in the muddled words that what you are trying to say is not anymore evident. This is also not saying that you have to stick to the usual fonts that printing dictates. It only means you have to stand up for the choices of fonts that you use.

The use of serif over sans serif. There is a theory that says serif is easier to read than sans serif because of the characters that makes it easy for people to read them. In reality, any font can be readable depending on how you design or put them into prints. With the proper design, any kind of font is made perfect for reading. Sans serif gives documents a more modern look into them and it is still a font widely used in Europe.

Two spaces after a coma. Before the computer has become a source of printing documents, the typewriter makes use of two spaces after a period to give enough space for sentences to emphasize a stop. With the computer nowadays and the different fonts to choose from, having two spaces is not anymore a good option. In most prints, the readers find it more difficult to read these because of the long stops in between the fonts. It is becoming a mishap rather than a point signifying a stop.

Do not use capital letters. The days when using capital letters is equals to highlighting your point is almost extinct with letters now being made bold and by means of using another font for words that need the most emphasizing. The lack of ascenders and descenders is most difficult in reading the letters.

Centering texts. Some texts can be centered but most certainly not all. The use of aligned left and justified is considerable than centered. A text put in centers confuses reading as you cannot tell when the text begins and the next starts.

These are just some of the things that printing dictates but not necessarily need to be followed. It is up to the designers to decide which they think is best.

Buy Quality Viagra Online, Get the Best Price on the Net

Filed under: Uncategorized — @ 8:01 am

Quality Viagra

Impotence is a consistent inability to sustain an erection sufficient for sexual intercourse. Medical professionals often use the term “erectile dysfunction” to describe this disorder and to differentiate it from other problems that interfere with sexual intercourse, such as lack of sexual desire and problems with ejaculation and orgasm. This fact sheet focuses on impotence defined as erectile dysfunction (E.D).

What Viagra does is creating some effects produced by some substances in one’s body, during the sexual arousal. This has as a result a growth of the blood flow into one’s penis. This is what an erection is: the increase of blood flow into the internal areas of the penis.

Viagra is not an aphrodisiac or a hormone. Once you take it, it can work in as quickly as 30-60 minutes and Viagra can stay in your body for up to 4 hours so you can set your own pace. It is necessary to have sexual stimulation in order for Viagra to work properly in your body.

The most common effects caused by Viagra are: Headache, flushing, stomach upset, nasal stuffiness, diarrhea and dizziness might occur. If you notice any other effects, please contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Where Will VoIP Go from Here?

Filed under: Uncategorized — @ 1:40 pm

It seems that nothing can stop the rise and rise of Internet telephony. Driven by increasingly widely available low cost broadband VoIP has become one of the fastest-growing applications on the Internet. But apart from cheap calls in the UK, there are other factors which have contributed to this hugely popular way of making calls. There is clearly a trend toward more innovative and more mobile services and this looks likely to ensure that demand for Voice over IP continues to grow. It is estimated that there are already around four million VoIP UK users in the UK, not counting business subscriptions.
Key figures in the industry point to the advent of ADSL broadband connections that do not require line rental for a standard phone line (naked ADSL), and number portability between conventional and IP phone services as the two key factors that will bring raise the profile of VoIP to new heights.

In fact the effect VoIP has had has been so pronounced that some have suggested that it may not be long before users can dispense with their traditional landline telephones completely in favour of a broadband phone.

Taking a more straightforward view, there are certain things that will need to be addressed before that can happen. In the UK Voice over IP providers like Vonage or VoIPTalk will have to scrutinise both security and ease of use, as well as continue to deliver a convenient and financially attractive service. They certainly offer cheap calls already but, what else do they need to do to ensure a bright future for VoIP?
As the Internet is a huge public space the VoIP traffic is no more immune from attack than any other data. Security is a worry for many users, particularly in the business community and the means to increase protection for users would be a welcome step in securing the long-term future of VoIP.

The ease of use issue may not remain a hindrance to development now that handsets that work on mobile networks and, via WiFi or Bluetooth links, over VoIP are now making an appearance in the shops. This raises the prospect of using cheap VoIP services at home, in the office or at a WiFi hotspot, but still retaining the flexibility of mobile coverage when out and about.

Some VoIP providers are now selling these handsets, and have set up joint arrangements with wireless hotspots so that their subscribers can make and receive calls on the go without the need for a PC.

It’s likely that some of the restrictions of such handsets i.e. difficulties in hotspots that use web pages for authentication to be addressed very soon.

The advance of newer networking technologies will further decrease the gap between fixed, mobile and VoIP services. Wireless broadband services, in particular WiMax, could create city-wide wireless hotspots, making it possible to make mobile VoIP calls in much wider areas.
