Searching for a Powerful Beginning via My Natural Lace Front Wig

For years, invisible lace wigs weren’t something I was familiar with. Art was my focus. This applied until last week when I started to lose my hair due to medical hair loss. It was obvious that I can’t permit the chance of being the thin-haired fashion victim from New Hampshire.

I imagined that I’d lost myself, bereaved of a real head of hair. I believed that it would be impossble to regain full fashion and the hair to match. Buddy, was I foolish. Before I got wise and bought my lace front wig, I tried out a selection of inadequate fake hair weaves that got my texture all wrong. My man Jim found me a few medical wig stores offering natural wigs that would look great.

Not wasting any time, I got online and took a good look at their wigs. I found an array of beautiful, dignified real hair wigs. Their natural wigs for cancer patients suited me best.

Trying on the proper wig, a woman like me can grow bravery working towards accepting her balding. I’ve never been more excited to toss my freshest golden locks. It meant a lot to me to actually display my new look at the family picnic.

It’s possible I could be exaggerating things, however hair is integral to my emotional well-being. Is there more things to existence than an amazing flow of hair? Boy, it couldn’t mean much if someone told me otherwise. Lace Front wigs look so good!

I can’t believe what my loved ones have felt like. No one knows the reality of me and alopecia. However so it goes, I’m definitely happy to look fabulous for my husband again. Having hair again enriched life for me.

Detractors may determine that life’s course silly. They’re wrong. Doesn’t everyone have something small that makes existence so worthwhile? Speaking for myself, it’s kitchenware (haha!) and my wig.

Love Fabulous Hair,

Monica Holton

The Perfect Island Holiday

France’s best-kept hideaway is situated directly amidst Fiji & Australia. It’s the island of New Caledonia and it’s a relaxing bliss. New Caledonia has a greater climate than several islands thanks to the trade winds which keep it warm though not immensely hot all year. The ocean water is balmy enough for swimming all year long.

If one are looking for French customs & a rural alternative to your island retreat, people may want to set your sights on Noumea. Discovered through a French Navel officer in 1854, Noumea has been everything arising out of a trade pier to a military set up in it’s past. Nowadays it is a wonderful island to take relaxing strolls during the afternoons and evenings.

In addition to fine dining & trendy shopping, there are some additional attractions which you don’t wish to pass up through out your visit. The Museum of New Caledonia started in 1971 and aims on the culture and archaeology of the place. The funeral masks, totems and jewelry are finely detailed.

You also don’t want to miss a fairly rare locale: a Gothic cathedral in the vicinity of the Pacific! St Joseph Cathedral was built in 1887 and it took 10 years to accomplish.

There is so much to experience and do in Noumea that you may want to look in to one of the many famous accompanied tours. Inquire about them in your hotel.

Certainly, people will want to gather for the evening in The Place des Cocotiers in the centre of Noumea. This famous assembly place offers gardens, live melodies & markets.

Noumea is good for the Urbanite but nevertheless, if you would rather prefer something else more calming or perhaps more adventurous, then the Isle of Pines can only be your target. Situated nearly 50 miles south east of Noumea, The Isle of Pines seems as though time has suppressed it altogether.

Searching for white sand beaches with palm trees? This is the island to visit. There are kilometres of immaculate white sand & waving palm trees.

Isle of Pines is ideal location for the water enthusiast. From glass underlying boats to scuba diving, it’s all here. This is also a magnificent place to have a jab at kite surfing & kayaking.

Every one of the hotels in New Caledonia are currently classy & offer all the amenities one could ask for from a luxury resort. If visitors are feeling adventurous, the local grub is mostly seafood based & it is excellent.

For your next island holiday, New Caledonia cannot be beaten as the paradise destination.

Online Pirates Risk Their Broadband Connection Being Throttled

In what seems to be a rejection of the proposed rule to take action against repeat offenders, Andy Burnham, culture secretary has revealed at the Music Week’s Make Online Music Pay conference that ‘technical solutions’ will now be used to battle online pirates.

Mark Mulligan, vice president at Forrester Research was all for the solution and told the BBC that ISPs currently employ a number of such technical methods and therefore, it was quite easy for the ISPs to execute the suggestion. He also hinted at the possibility that despite reaching a compromise, both the ISPs and the music labels could end up feeling a little disappointed, which he said was a sign of a good compromise.

However, ISPs would still be expected to carry out the proposal of sending out mails to customers believed to be involved in online piracy, as was mentioned in the interim Digital Britain report. Click on compare broadband for reviews and price data for all the leading broadband service providers.

The technical solutions, it is believed, would involve ISPs actively limiting the file sharing activities taking place online. The best way to ensure this is to limit the broadband connections of those customers believed to be involved in breaching copyright laws.

Burnham’s comment has met with positive feedback from many, though Mulligan believes ISPs may not be too happy about the news, and it is yet to be seen whether they will even agree to such a solution.

Could The New Google Spider Be Causing Issues With Websites?

Around the time Google announced “Big Daddy,” there was a new Googlebot roaming the web. Since then I’ve heard stories from clients of websites and servers going down and previously unindexed content getting indexed.

I started digging into this and you’d be surprised at what I found out.

First, let’s look at the timeline of events:

In Late September some astute spider watchers over at Webmasterworld spotted unique Googlebot activity. In fact, it was in this thread: http://w ww.webmasterworld.com/forum3/25897-9-10.htm that the bot was first reported on. It concerned some posters who thought that perhaps this could be regular users masquerading as the famous bot.

Early on it also appeared that the new bot wasn’t obeying the Robots.txt file. This is the protocol which allows or denies crawling to parts of a website.

Speculation grew on what the new crawler was until Matt Cutts mentioned a new Google test data center h ttp://www.mattcutts.com/blog/good-magazines/#comment-5293. For those that don’t know, Matt Cutts is a senior engineer with Google and one of the few Google employees talking to us “regular folk.” This mention happened in November.

There wasn’t much mention of Big Daddy until early January of this year when Matt again blogged about it asking for feedback. http://www.mattcutts .com/blog/bigdaddy/

Much feedback was given on the accuracy of the results. There were also those that asked if the Mozilla Googlebot (known as “Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.htm l)” in your visitor logs) and Big Daddy were related, but no response was made.

Now I’m going to begin some of my own speculation:

I do in fact believe the two are related. In fact, I think this new crawler will eventually replace the old crawlers just as Big Daddy will replace the current data infrastructure. h ttp://www.textlinkbrokers.com/blogs/comments/310_0_1_0_C/

Why is this important?

Based on my observations, this crawler may be able to do so much more than the old crawler.

For one, it emulates a newer browser. The old bot was based on the Lynx text based browser. While I’m sure Google added features as time went on, the basic Lynx browser is just that – basic.

Which explains why Google couldn’t deal with things like JavaScript, CSS and Flash.

However, with the new spider, built on the Mozilla engine, there are so many possibilities.

Just look at what your Mozilla or Firefox browser can do itself – render CSS, read and execute JavaScript and other scripting languages, even emulate other browsers.

But that’s not all.

I’ve talked to a few of my clients and their sites are getting hammered by this new spider. It has gotten so bad that some of their servers have gone down because of the volume of traffic from this one spider!

On the plus side, I have clients who went from a few hundred thousand indexed pages to over 10 million in just a few weeks! Literally since December, 2005 there’s been a 3500% increase in indexed pages over an 8 week period! Just so you know, this is also the client’s site that went down because of the huge volume of crawling happening.

But that’s still not all.

I have another client which uses IP recognition to serve content based on a person’s geographic location. If you live in the US you get American content and pricing; if you live in the UK you get UK content and pricing. As you may imagine, the UK, US, Canadian and Australian content is all very similar. In fact about the only thing noticeably different is the pricing aspect.

This is my concern – if the duplicate content gets indexed by Google what will they do? There’s a good chance that the site would be penalized or even banned for violation of the webmaster quality guidelines set forth by Google here: htt p://www.google.com/webmasters/guidelines.html#quality

This is why we implemented IP recognition – so that Googlebot, which crawls from US IP addresses only sees one version of the site.

However, a review of the server logs shows that this new Googlebot has been visiting not only the US content but also the content of the other sections of the site. Naturally, I wanted to verify that the IP recognition was working. It is. This leads me to wonder then; can this browser spoof its location and/or use a proxy?

Imagine that – the browser is smart enough to do some of its own testing by viewing the site from multiple IP addresses. If that’s the case then those who cloak sites are going to have problems.

In any case, from the limited observations I’ve made, this new Google – both the data center and the spider – are going to change the way we do things.

Three Steps to Improved Search Engine Rankings

One of today’s hottest marketing buzz phrases is “Search Engine Optimization”, or SEO. SEO is the process of configuring an organization’s Web site in such a way that when a person goes to Google (or other search engine) and searches for keywords related to the organization, the search engine lists the organization’s Web site within its search results in the highest possible position.

SEO can be a valuable promotional tactic within any Web site marketing strategy. However, SEO can also become time consuming because Google, Yahoo, and MSN (the big three) use sophisticated algorithms to index Web content. All three companies continually adjust their algorithms to provide users with the best search results. Therefore, you will need to continually test new techniques to achieve and maintain high rankings.

The AVS Group has researched and developed an SEO model that improves search engine rankings. This article highlights three tactics from our model you can use to improve your own rankings:

1. Select great keywords 2. Convert keywords into traffic 3. Link building

Tactic #1: Select Great Keywords

Your first priority should be to select great keywords that describe your organization and the content within your Web site. It might be tempting to save time by developing a list of keywords, some specific and others broad, and then applying all of them on every page throughout your Web site. However, you will achieve greater results by selecting 10 custom keywords or phrases for each page of content within your site. For example, select 10 keywords and use them exclusively on your home page, followed by 10 different keywords for each subsequent page of content.

When selecting keywords, avoid words that are broad or vague. Broad or vague keywords provide little benefit because likely too many other pages are currently indexed in the search engines using those keywords. To illustrate, let’s use AVSGroup.com as an example. Open a new browser window and go to Google. Search on the term “Web Site Design”. Look at the upper right corner where Google displays the number of pages currently indexed for the keywords. Google has already indexed about 22 million pages for “Web Site Design”.

Instead of competing against 22 million pages for “Web Site Design”, AVS chose to optimize a page of content for “Web Strategy Development”. This phrase precisely describes one of AVS’s Web services, and because fewer pages are indexed, there is a greater likelihood of achieving a high ranking. To illustrate, go back to Google. Search on “Web Strategy Development”. Google has indexed 623 pages and AVSGroup.com is the number one ranked site.

Tactic #2: Convert Keywords into Traffic

Once you have selected great keywords, the keywords must be incorporated into the right locations within your Web site to drive more traffic. Some of the best places are within your site’s page title, META description, and META keywords. Google, Yahoo, and MSN look for keywords in these locations to help properly index a site’s content.

If you are unfamiliar with how to view a page title, open a new browser window and go to AVSGroup.com. The page title is the white text that appears inside the bar at the top left of your browser window.

Next in importance is the META description and META keywords. Both are used to describe the content found on a particular page. To locate the METAs, open a new browser window and go back to AVSGroup.com. Click on the “View” drop down menu within your Internet Explorer window. You will see several options including “View Source”. Select “View Source”. This will display the HTML used to create the AVSGroup.com home page. At the top of the page, you will see the META description and META keywords.

You will achieve the greatest success if you develop custom page titles, META descriptions, and META keywords for each page within your Web site using the keywords that you selected earlier.

Tactic #3: Link Building

Link building is an SEO term that means requesting other Webmasters to add a link to your Web site within their Web site. This usually takes place in two ways. Webmasters will sometimes add your link within their own site’s content because your Web site could be a valuable resource to their site visitors. You can also encourage Webmasters to post your content onto their Web site provided they include a link to your Web site within the credits.

For the first example, open a new browser window and go to www.viroqua-wisconsin.com. Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see a link that reads “Web site design and development by The AVS Group”. This link provides AVSGroup.com with additional traffic if someone were to click the link, but more importantly, the link helps increase our “Page Rank”. More on Page Rank later.

Next, open a new browser window and go back to Google. Search on the phrase “e-mail marketing tips”. You should see a link that reads “Learn Successful E-mail Marketing Tips” (it might even be the number two ranked site). Click on this link and you will find a Web site that is featuring one of The AVS Group’s Resources articles. This is an example of leveraging your Web site content by permitting other Webmasters to post it and provide a link back to your site. Scroll to the bottom of the article and you will see a link to AVSGroup.com.

Your link building activities increase what is known as, “Page Rank”. Page Rank is a measure that Google uses to evaluate the relevancy of a Web site’s content. If you have hundreds or even thousands of Web sites linking to your Web site using these two examples, Google will consider your Web site to be more relevant. You will earn a higher Page Rank score, resulting in improved search results for your Web site against sites that might even be optimized for the same keywords.

In closing, this article shared three key tactics within our SEO model that you can use to improve your search engine rankings. Because of the complexity of SEO, please let us know if you would like to learn more about our full SEO model. Our Web experts will demonstrate the various tactics within our model and discuss the results.

Rocket yourself into your own profitable Internet business

So youre ready to bring out the entrepreneur in you. Or you already are an established entrepreneur and would like to push the bar even higher. Whatever your situation is, this article will help you to start a profitable Internet business.

The first step is to decide on the commodity or service that you would like to trade in the Internet. If you are still not decided, here are some tips on how to choose:

Make a list of things that youd like to do. Make each activity the heading of a clean sheet of paper.

On each activity sheet, list all types of business that can be related to such an activity. This is where you should be imaginative on new products that can be offered that is not yet in the market.

Encircle the businesses that can last even during crisis. Basic human needs such as food, shelter and clothing, for example, will have demand at any point in time, so these maybe businesses that will last. One of those encircled items maybe your business of choice.

Once you have a shortlist of businesses in mind, ask your self the following questions to narrow your choice further:

Will I enjoy doing this? Most successful businesses thrive because the owner is passionately dedicated to it. Thriving in a business requires endurance, especially during the start-up phase, so you must love what youre doing in order to continue doing it for a long time.

Can I be an expert in this field? When you have a toothache, you dont go to the Family doctor and expect to be relieved of it. You naturally go to the dentist, because he specializes in tooth care and repair. Your intended internet business will be preferred by consumers if you are specialized in the field that you intend to do business in.

Will this succeed in an internet-based set-up? Traditional business schools will teach you that the location of your business is a key factor to its success. The Internet is, as any address, a good location for your business. In fact, since 2001, internet-based transactions have been growing exponentially from 14% to 44% per year. This alone can inspire every businessman out there to carve his own niche in the world of e-commerce!

If, after careful consideration, you are still not decided on what product or service to sell, there are other options into establishing an Internet Business, described below:

Resell Products You Bought in Bulk. If you are at a loss for your own product, why not sell those of others that already established their name? Wholesalers often sell at a lower price for those buying in big volumes regularly. This mode of Internet business is ideal for products that have not reached rural areas due to limited distribution capabilities.

Internet Business with Direct Sales. There are companies who choose direct sales as a mode of distribution for their product, that is, they do not go through retail stores or dont have their own retail chain. They partner with individuals or small companies to sell their products. The advantage of partnering with these Direct Sales companies is that they have established a structure for sales, marketing and after-sales support. All you have to do is apply those and you earn commission.

Affiliate Programs: This last type of Internet Business deals with marketing someone else’s products by being their affiliate. By taking on an affiliate program, you are paid based on the percentage of sales made through your referral.

By now, you would have picked one specific business among the four types above. Now its time to begin your e-venture.

Create a Business Plan. This step is important in the success of your Internet business. A well-written plan is specific narration of your business objective, strategies, financials and success measures. This will be the entrepreneur’s guide in breathing life to his Internet business. Also, he can use this document as he invites investors, business partners or suppliers. The plan can be further developed into the business proposal, which he will use to entice his buyers.

Carve out your E-Niche. The best way to take a place in the Internet is to have your own website. Before learning how to crate one, you need to understand the following terms:

Web Host – the company that provides the network of computers to stores the files of web sites.

Domain is a group of networked computers that share a common communications address. Examples would be .com, .org, .ws. In order to obtain a place in this network of computers (e.g. www.yourbusinessname.com), one must register with the company owning (or more aptly hosting) the network and pay the corresponding fee.

URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator. This is the standard way of specifying the location of ones website. In the example, http://www.yourbusinessname.com, is the URL, and .com is the domain, where the URL is located.

Server – a computer hardware that that provides the file hosting services to other computers (like yours and mine) that access the websites it stores. Some web hosts can offer dedicated servers for websites, while other have multiple websites in a shared server. Depending on the reliability that your Internet Business requires and also the speed that your clients need in accessing and operating your website, you may choose between a dedicated and shared server. Consequently, prices for web hosting will vary.

Now that you understand those terms, you can think of a name for your Internet business in order to carve out your e-niche in the World Wide Web. Things to remember about naming your website:

It is best to purchase your own domain name instead of using a sub-domain for free. For example, a free name would be www.internetserviceprovider.com/yourbusinessname. A purchased domain name is www.yourbusinessname.com. To customers, having your own domain is more professional than being just a part of another business.

Pick a name that is easy to remember and immediately identifies your Internet business. If you are trading books over the Internet, for example, naming your website www.bookstore.com will ensure that all those looking for books will visit your website.

If your capital can afford it, buy all domain names that maybe closely related to your Internet business. By the above example, you may choose to buy also www.bookstore.us, www.book-store.com, etc. You may channel all those addresses into a single webpage (called domain forwarding), which ensures you have a monopoly of the trade.

Upon registration of your domain name, you will also sign-up with a Web hosting company. Make sure to research the best deals and offers of each company before signing up. Aside from file size (amount of data you can store in their server) and band width (speed of data transfer from your website to the users), ask about website designing, e-mail hosting, historical uptime (amount the server is up and running, you want this 100%), back-up schedule and 24/7 support. The last thing you want is for your business to suffer just because your clients cannot access your website whenever they need to.

Lastly, promote your Internet Business. The first step is to make sure that your website ends up in the top 10 listed sites of search engines like Yahoo, Google, etc, called Search Engine Optimization (SEO). As a beginner, you may opt to sign up with companies that do this professionally for a fee. However, you can also do it on your own by reading up on tips on how to do SEO.

Another way of promoting your Internet Business is to use your e-mail signature to inform your friends about your new website. You can easily program your e-mail to have an auto signature to include your website name and a catchy phrase to lure your readers into clicking it.

You can also have an affiliate program. Above, this was discussed as another Internet Business in itself, but it can also be a means of promoting your website. Affiliate program means asking other people to promote your website through their website or e-mail programs. Sale made from referrals by your affiliate will be tracked and will be the basis of their payment, as a percentage of the sale. This is a very effective tool in getting wider coverage for your Internet Business.

With the Internet Business still rocketing, there are endless possibilities !

Is this all the web has to offer?

My first experience on the Internet was, you guessed it, a bulletin board service. There, you could really hone your typing skills as you met new friends and hacked your way around cyberspace. Then along came the browser. Sure, we all enjoy flashing colors and cheery music, but leave it to corporate America to figure out a way to make money off of new technology. Fast forward about 15 years and this is what you get: The funniest place on the web.

You can now purchase everything from food to condoms to burial plots via the World Wide Web. Hmmm. That’s quite a selection. What started out as a way to simply share small files and simple communications has turned into this: Paying Adults Only!

Am I here to gripe about America’s need to succeed in not only world political affairs, but any economic endeavor? No. But I can hope for the simple things like a good old-fashioned library. Whoops! Those have been cyberized too! Ah well. If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em. Buy This from me! Now!

WEB DIRECTORY LISTINGS – YOUR KEY TO HIGHER SEARCH ENGINE RANKINGS

Submit your site to web directories and make this tool an integral part of your e-marketing plan. Your site will get higher search engine rankings-guaranteed.

Online competition is undeniably fierce, with an estimated 5 billion webpages on the net. And all of them vying for the attention of around 2005, 202,888,307 Americans, or 68.9% of the entire population of the country that’s online (June 2005 Nielsen/NetRatings survey).

In December 2005 – these shoppers, spent a total of $25 billion on the net, from between October 29 and December 16, pegged the first seven weeks of the 2005 holiday season.

How can you make your website stand out from a sea of over 5 billion webpages?

How can you get traffic that is easily converted into paying customers? The answers to these two questions are simple – have your website listed in web directories.

A web directory is the online equivalent of a library, for it contains the addresses of websites, indexed and organized according to specific subject matters. And to complete the analogy, the virtual librarians are human editors who evaluate and catalogue websites submitted for listing.

Here are three good reasons why you should use web directories to gain increased search engine rankings. * Higher Ranking In Search Engine Results Major search engines such as Yahoo! Google and MSN search use the databases of web directories to complement their search results. In addition, to these major search engines, your site is sure to appear in Netscape Search, Google, Lycos, and AOL searches. * Immediately Accessible to Your Target Markets Web directories index websites according to categories. So all your audience has to do is, access that specific category, and click on the link to end at your landing page. * Permanent and quality links from the web directories Search engines award websites that have more quality links, higher rankings. Therefore, your site benefits two ways, increased visibility due to its’ link to a respected web directory and by association, it becomes a quality site. Should you go for paid inclusion or free submission? It all depends on your budget and the target audience you want to reach. Many web directories, list websites free provided that these websites have to pass strict guidelines. Moreover, you should be prepared for a long wait, if you are applying to a major directory. There’s the ratio of a few human editors, against hundreds of websites, to consider.

In addition, while there are web directories, which charge nominal monthly or one-time inclusion fees, the fees do not guarantee immediate traffic to your site. Nor does the inclusion fee guarantee your site will be listed. However, if your site is rejected, most directories will return your fee. Here’s what you can do to increase your chances for inclusion: * Have your own domain name. * Ensure your site’s name matches your domain name. * Before submitting to a web directory, double-check to ensure you have no bad links, images, and Java script errors. If it’s sloppily done, your site may be rejected. * Have your company’s details, such as postal address and phone numbers, clearly in view. * Ensure the links to your company’s privacy policy, return policy, and guarantee, aren’t broken. * Lastly, if you are selling online, make sure your e-commerce facilities are secure.

Submission Tips Worth Remembering

Consider what kind of site you have and the services you are selling, use this knowledge as a guide in selecting the category.

Here’s an effective way to find out what category your site belongs to. Launch a search at the directory for websites whose services are similar to yours. Surf these sites, Evaluate why these web sites had themselves listed in this particular category.

Carefully read the directory’s instructions and comply with these. It will lessen your chances of being rejected and have all the hard work wasted.

Does the application give you an opportunity to provide more information about your site? Use the form. If your site has special benefits or products, be sure to write these down, for the directory editor. Focus your attention and time to submitting to directories but don’t ignore the smaller ones, as long as these directories are relevant to your site. That way, you increase your opportunities to reach your target audience. And, the more listings the greater the links you’ll have, adding to the link popularity of your website. In conclusion, remember two things about directory listing. It’s just one of the many strategic e-marketing tools you can utilize. And it’s cheap.

Second – remember to constantly surf for relevant directories to submit your site to. One such directory is http://www.alivedirectory.com . You’ll gain quality links and increased visibility, which will give your site higher engine rankings. And attract quality visitors, who can easily be converted into paying clients.
