All Black Watches

A watch is often used to measure a man and his success and sense of style. Trends in the watch industry are often used to track how well the economy is doing. That being said some people feel like that is the driving force behind the biggest trend in watches right now – black on black. We’re talking black face, black strap and sometimes even a tinted piece of glass.

If you were wearing a black wristwatch only fifteen years ago, you would most probably be taken for a retired secret agent. Black watches used to be a priority of military forces but have gradually spread over sports niche and entered the collections of most avid watch lovers. Now you never know who might have on an all black watch.

PVD or Physical Vapor Deposition is what most of the stainless steel or titanium watches have been coated in. This gives them that shimmering glare that they are known to give off. This process was first used in 1966 in the heavy metals undustries. The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak End of Days and Panerai PAM 004 stand out among other modern black watches as they are in strong demand among collectors.
