Desert Hiking and Hot Weather Advice
Do you love to go out and take risks and push your body and mind to new levels that have never been tried before? There are many of us who love to go beyond the normal and experience a rush and thrill. Hiking is one activity that is amazing for those who love the outdoors, mountains, or any type of fun adventure. We can keep in mind that the high altitude and clean air hills with rocks and trees is the best place to take in the natural beauty of the planet, we can’t forget about the desert. The color of the sand, the cactus plants, and mirage sittings can’t be overlooked and should be utilized.
This is one dangerous thing to do but if the right equipment and materials are brought along it can make it actually quite safe. The first thing to consider is the body’s overall health level. Is there knee pain that can cause a delay or even the possibility of getting stranded? Is the heart healthy and blood pressure at normal levels? These are critical things to consider and if there is any hint of ill health then doing this is an absolute no by any doctor’s standards.
Drinking at least a gallon of water before going will help keep hydration levels high. There has to be more consumed every couple of minutes and this can get heavy to carry because so much can be needed. Hats and anything that can block the blistering sun from beating down and causing the body temperature to raise beyond what is normal should be used. Sunblock can help prevent sunburn. And always travel with a partner because the extra person might be a lifesaver.
